Festival Hub at The City Hall

'Brazilian Design Perspectives' unveils this vast landscape by carefully selecting works that are weaved together by suitable reflections. From the number of popular styles employed to manufactured objects - sprinkled with emblems and connotations or plain, in its frugal aesthetics; sometimes poor in resources, but never in inventiveness - to design in industrial production, made in Brazil - international in language and nationally green and yellow in timber - this vast and unique work constitutes obligatory reference for researchers and laypeople.

The Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) will be organising their Good Design Product exhibition, where they will be bringing in 20-30 items, ranging from electronics to household. The items are mainly selected by means of their design, judged by a panel. The results of the selection will be unveiled in October 2007. As a reference, in the presentation at the 2005 Singapore Design Festival, KIDP brought in products such as LCD TV, mobile phones, MP3 and DVD players, rice cookers, vacuum cleaners, laptops, and even a bicycle.

A booth will be set-up as information point for all festival visitors and media where the Official Festival Guide as well as Festival partners and sponsors materials will be disseminated. The booth will be opened from 10am-9pm daily.
